Be Missed and Remembered: The Letter from Mayoiga

Piano Realms: Azure

Thank you Materia Collective for providing us with a digital copy of this album to review!

Piano Realms Azure is a collection of twelve piano songs inspired by various water worlds in popular videos games. The songs were composed by David Peacock and lovingly played by Augustine Mayuga Gonzales. Each of the tracks are well played and immersive. Many of them bring back memories playing games that have water-themed levels. Here's the track list:

1. Caustics (Original) 05:29
2. Melisma of the Waters (From "Sea of Stars") 04:13
3. Aquatic Ambience (From "Donkey Kong Country") 04:59
4. Dark Waters (From "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time") 04:44
5. Secret of the Deep Sea (From "Final Fantasy VII") 04:39
6. Inkwater Marsh (From "Ori and the Will of the Wisps") 04:22
7. Shore Bordering Another World (From "Chrono Cross") 04:45
8. Balaenoptera Musculus (From "Abzu") 05:37
9. The River (From "Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye") 05:19
10. Dire Dire Docks (From "Super Mario 64") 03:53
11. Delfino Plaza (From "Super Mario Sunshine") 03:52
12. Cascades (From "Hyper Light Drifter") 04:58

While I haven't played many of the source games, I can still appreciate the lovely music from them. However, my favorite tracks are ones that I recognize from games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. Some of the tracks bring sadness as the games they are from are on my bucket list of titles I have yet to play. The first track, Caustics is an original piece that is worth listening to.

There's roughly fifty minutes of music in this album that sells for $12 on BandCamp digitally. You can download the album in MP3, FLAC, and other audio formats. If you prefer vinyl, that will set you back $35. Amazon has the MP3 version of the album available for $7.99. Streaming is always free and I highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy relaxing piano music.

Siege is a strange one to recommend. On the surface it's the most accessible competitive shooter to watch — rounds are short, the objective is obvious, and there's no respawning to keep track of. Ten players, one bomb site, three minutes. But s...
