Thank you Immersive Gamitronics Studios for providing us with a review code!

I’ve always enjoyed a competitive game of darts. I’d love to have a dartboard at home, but I wouldn’t want to deal with all the newly created holes in the wall. Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about damaging anything or hurting anyone in Darts VR2: BullsEye. I haven’t played the first game so I can’t make any comparisons.

Darts VR2: BullsEye provides several single-player games that have mesmerizing visuals and haptic feedback. Here’s a list of the current game modes:

501: Your goal is to get to 501 points using the least amount of darts possible. You get three darts per turn. Getting the right ending number of points to finish the game is extra challenging!

Around the World: You have to hit each number on the dartboard in sequence and finish with the bullseye. Any misses will subtract from your score. I ended with a -160 during my stream.

Killstreak: You begin by throwing a dart anywhere on the dartboard. All successive darts must land in the same location to count towards your streak/score. Even if you do poorly, the game will end saying “Well played”.

The video is missing.
Highlights:

Strong Points: Lots of game modes to enjoy; online leaderboards to compete against
Weak Points: Nobody online to play with; not much zombie variety
Moral Warnings: Blood and violence against zombies; some female characters don’t cover their bellies

Walking Darts: Have you ever wondered how long you’d survive against zombies armed only with darts? Here’s your chance to find out! You must hit the waves of zombie coming your way. After a few successful headshots you’ll unblock a powerful explosive dart. If you get hit, the game will end and you’ll be shown various stats for number of waves completed, head shots, body shots, and leg shots.

Darts VR2: BullsEye supports multiplayer and formation of leagues. Sadly, I haven’t seen anyone online to play against. Thankfully, the online leaderboards will immortalize your scores, both good and bad.

Each mode has its music style ranging from electronica to rock. There is some voice acting used to explain the various game modes. The zombie voice acting is as creepy as expected.

Darts VR2: BullsEye
Score Breakdown:
Higher is better
(10/10 is perfect)

Game Score - 74%
Gameplay: 12/20
Graphics: 7/10
Sound: 8/10
Stability: 5/5
Controls: 5/5

Morality Score - 77%
Violence: 5/10
Language: 10/10
Sexual Content: 6.5/10
Occult/Supernatural: 7/10
Cultural/Moral/Ethical: 10/10

Visually, Darts VR2: BullsEye has a lot of eye candy. I wish I would see fireworks shooting out of the dartboard when getting a bullseye in real life! You can customize your character’s face, headwear, gloves, and darts. If you see anyone else in the game, that’s all you’ll see. Floating heads and hands with no bodies!

Darts VR2: BullsEye is squeaky clean until the Walking Darts mode. Walking Darts has female zombies that show off a lot of their green skin because they wear bikini tops and short shorts. There’s not a lot of variety in zombie models so you’ll see a lot of them. When hit with a dart, they will bleed.

If you like playing darts and don’t mind playing solo, Darts VR2: BullsEye is worth checking out on sale. The asking price of $14.99 is reasonable, but without people to play against, I don’t think it has much staying power.
