Redragon has been around since 2013 and is known for making inexpensive yet high-quality gaming peripherals. We have previously reviewed the Redragon Castor K631 Pro SE Wireless RGB Gaming Keyboard and were impressed by it.

Build-wise, the Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard is well built with lots of nice features. As a 96% keyboard it has most of the keys that I use on a regular basis, including the number pad. I do miss the print screen key, but that’s handled by pressing the Fn+P keys. You can customize the key shortcuts and RGB colors via Redragon’s software. The application also lets you configure macros and set the USB polling rate which is set to 1000HZ by default. I like that there’s an option to disable the Windows key if needed.

In the software you can select various lighting patterns including normal/static, breathing, spectrum, traverse, rain, ripples, stars, reaction, stream, corrugated, cartoon, wave, serpentine, roll, flowers, scan, surmount, speed, custom, light and shadow, and audio wave. Since I like my keyboard illuminated most of the time, I used the corrugated setting. The audio wave profile is neat how it adjusts the keyboard’s lighting to the music you’re playing.

The media knob is super convenient for adjusting the volume on the fly. This knob is also used for maneuvering the menus on the LCD screen. Through the menu you can adjust the keyboard’s light color, effect, speed, brightness, language, time format and set the time. I’m happy to report that once the time and color is configured, the settings will be remembered and will work on different operating systems without needing software. If you want to customize a logo or video on the LCD screen, you’ll still need the application installed!

The Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard has a very unique look. I love the graffiti on the back of the keyboard. The keys have an interesting look to them with the characters appearing to be spray-painted on. Paint drips and all! You have to really know the layout of a keyboard because some of the art on the keycaps don’t represent the key’s function. For example, the ctrl key has a bomb on it and the Fn is represented by a wavy face with a cigarette hanging out of its mouth. My eighteen-year-old son adores the artwork while others I have polled find it interesting but would likely swap out the keycaps.

There are multiple ways to connect the keyboard. You can configure it to connect via Bluetooth, USB wirelessly with a dongle, or you can charge and connect with a USB-C cable. The battery life is impressive and I was able to use it at home and work for a couple of weeks on a single charge! The battery will dim the lights and LCD to conserve the battery life after a few minutes of inactivity. During an 8-hour shift at work, the battery would deplete by 12% a day. When the meter hits 20%, a red LED will start blinking indicating that it’s time to charge the keyboard. Charging takes roughly four hours from a 20% charge level.

The Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard uses linear switches which are known for smooth, uninterrupted key presses without tactile bumps or audible clicks. Redragon implements five layers of noise dampening (3.5mm PO foam, IXPE switch foam, PET sound pad, bottom socket foam, silicone bottom pad) to make each keystroke satisfying with ultra-clean acoustics. Even with the noise dampening, it doesn’t come near the silence offered by my be quiet! Light Mount keyboard. With that said, the Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard is quieter than any blue switch model out there!

Recently, there’s been demand for keyboards to flex when pushed down and the Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard offers that. I personally don’t care either way, but some people appreciate the flex to make it easier on your fingers and quieter overall. Another advantage to allowing flex is that it improves the durability of the keyboard.

The Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard is quite similar to the Corsair Vanguard when it comes to the layout. The Corsair Vanguard includes a wrist rest and it has an aluminum plate on the top which prevents the flexing that the Artemis K719 Pro offers. The biggest difference between these two keyboards is the price. The Redragon Artemis K719 Pro Graffiti Keyboard is more than $100 less than the Corsair Vanguard! It has a lot to offer at a very competitive price point. If you’re not a fan of the graffiti design, there’s an anime version as well.
