High-end gaming systems typically come with liquid cooling. There are so many options to choose from, and if you don’t need an LCD display, there are all in one (AIO) coolers available for under $60. The Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO Liquid CPU Cooler retails for $99.99 and has an LCD display to show you your CPU speed, wattage, temperature, and system load. Unlike the NZXT Kraken 280 I was previously using, you cannot customize the LCD display of the Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO. Without the Windows driver loaded, the LCD will not display anything. As of this review, there is no Linux support.
The Levelplay driver is lightweight and doesn’t require an application to be constantly running in order to work. My NZXT required the software to be running in order for the customized LCD image to display. Without the software running, the NZXT only displayed the temperature and CPU speed.
Strong Points: Competitively priced; cooler temperatures compared to my previous AIO, LCD screen
Weak Points: CPU mounting brackets may interfere with motherboard capacitors; Windows driver is needed for the LCD display to function, in Linux the LCD will remain off; slightly louder than my previous AIO
Installing the AIO is pretty straightforward. However, the manual is a little unclear as to which direction the hoses need to be facing (right-hand side) and which direction the LCD needs to be mounted (cables on the bottom in my case). The AMD CPU bracket was resting on a row of capacitors in my ASUS Crosshair Hero VIII Wifi motherboard. To play it safe, I added some electrical tape to provide a barrier between the capacitors and the mounting bracket.
Levelplay-branded thermal paste is included, and that’s what I used for this review. It worked really well, and I’m happy with the results. The CPU mounting plate is copper, so you don’t want to use liquid metal.

Fastening the CPU mounting mechanism is a little sketchy at first, and there’s not much wiggle room to get the bolts started. Once fully fastened down, the mount feels secure and reliable. The LCD portion is held in place by magnets. It may get displaced during transit, but should be fine if your system is stationary.
Performance-wise, my system performed noticeably better after installing the Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO. My 3DMark score went from a good score rating to a great one. The sound levels slightly increased by 1dB with the Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO, but the temperatures mostly went down, with one measurement not changing between the two.


Overall, I am happy with the Levelplay Combat Liquid 360 HUD AIO Liquid CPU Cooler and recommend it for Windows gamers. Hopefully Linux drivers will be available in the near future. It’s nice to see that this product has a three year warranty. You can refill the liquid, but you’ll have to remove a sticker that voids your warranty in the process. The $99 price tag is very reasonable, and I recommend looking into this AIO cooler if you’re in the market for one.
