Thank you Huanuo for providing us with a review sample!
As you might remember, Cheryl Gress reviewed a dual monitor arm system from Huanuo. In their review, she stated that she was “perfectly happy” (Jason wasn’t) using the standard stands that come with computer monitors. I can relate, as I had never used monitor arms on my computer desks. When I was asked to review a new monitor arm from Huanuo called the FlowLifttm Desk Monitor Arm, I was intrigued. I have always accepted the fact that my monitor would take up quite a bit of my desktop space. Within the last few years, however, I have started adding larger as well as multiple monitors to my desktop computer system, and that was taking up more desk real estate. When I received the Huanuo FlowLift Pro desk monitor arm from Jason Gress, I was impressed at how heavy and solid the construction of the monitor arm system was built. I expected the whole system to be made of steel or aluminum, at least part of it, and this monitor arm does not skimp on its components with “90% professional-grade metal” or alloy steel construction, and is built very well.
Key features of the Huanuo FlowLift Pro Desk Monitor Arm are very impressive for a budget-friendly desktop monitor arm designed to improve your desk ergonomics and reclaim valuable real estate. It offers great flexibility with a wide range of motion including 360° rotation, +80°/−50° tilt, and ±90° swivel, allowing you to move the monitor where you need it. This monitor arm offers versatile mounting, and includes both an adjustable C-clamp (which is easy to move) and a grommet base mounting option which requires you to drill a ⅜” or (10-12mm) hole in your desk, or you can use any existing cable management holes in your desk. The desktop arm has capacity limits; it supports screens from 13" to 32" with standard 75x75mm and 100x100mm VESA patterns, holding up to 19.8 lbs.
The installation of the monitor arm to the desk is very straight-forward, with only a few pages of instructions needed to complete the build. The desk clamp provided is very easy to set up and will stay secure no matter how much I move my monitor to provide the best viewing angle for my needs. I installed a Dell 27” monitor which weighs 10 pounds onto the FlowLift Pro monitor arm in about 10 minutes. I have my Dell monitor set up in portrait mode, because my primary monitor is an ASUS VP348, which is a 34 inch flatscreen monitor and is 17 pounds without the monitor stand. The ASUS monitor is at the top of the weight and size limits for the Huanuo desk monitor arm system.

Strong Points: Excellent price-to-performance ratio for a gas-spring arm; easy assembly process that takes under 15 minutes; strong, well-made clamp that holds displays steady
Weak Points: Integrated plastic cable management channels feel a bit thin and cheap; not compatible with heavy ultrawide displays exceeding 19.8 lbs
The first step of the installation is to mount the base to the desk, either with the c-clamp or the grommet base. I actually prefer using the c-clamp because then the monitor arm can be re-located on the desk, where the grommet mount is more permanent. After that, you place the two main sections or the arm onto the base and tighten each piece down with the installed screw with the supplied Allen wrench. The instructions do mention that you should not tighten the screws too tight because that would limit the ability to move the monitor when mounted on the arm. The next step is to mount the monitor plate using the provided screws. There are two different sizes of screws with included spacers, so please refer to your monitor’s specifications, because the depth of the vesa mounting screw holes are not universal. Once the plate is mounted onto the monitor, it will attach to the monitor arm with a simple locking mechanism that clicks into place.
The Huanuo FlowLift Pro Desk Monitor Arm is really a great addition to my desk, and I am really happy with it. The FlowLift Pro arm monitor stand can handle up to a 32” monitor with a maximum of 19.8 pounds on each arm. The arm does not have a telescoping function, and that is the only real limitation to the functionality of the unit. I did have initial problems with my large 34” monitor, which I know is bigger than the maximum screen size that Huanuo recommends for this monitor arm system, because it kept sagging down when I moved it. But then I read the instructions, and found that the monitor arm has a reinforced spring system they call "MechaSpring" that fixes the issue. The monitor arms have an Allen wrench included that not only tightens the Allen screws on the arms so they can lessen the movement of the monitors, but it is also used to tighten the MechaSpring system to counter the weight of the heavier monitors. After I figured that out, my monitor will stay in place wherever I move it, and the setup of the monitor arm took only about 10-15 minutes to place on my desk.

I tested the Huanuo Desk Monitor Arm for a couple of weeks with my ASUS 34” monitor mounted on it. Once I got it dialed in, the monitor arm worked great and kept my large monitor in place without any movement at all, unless I moved it. I moved my monitor up, down, side to side, and rotated it to portrait mode several times, and the monitor arm kept the large monitor in place. Then Jason Gress asked me if I wanted to review the Huanuo Flowlift Dual Monitor Arm, which is in the same product line. When I received the dual monitor arm, I removed the large 34” monitor from the single arm, so I could set up 3 monitors on my desk, with the 34” monitor in the center of the 3, with a 24” on the left, and a 27” monitor on the right. I will go into more detail about that fun dilemma in the review about the Huanuo FlowLift Dual Monitor Arm.
Computer monitor arms are a major upgrade for any workspace, instantly helping your ergonomic posture, expanding your usable desk space, and even decluttering tangled cables. Whether you are setting up a single screen or managing a massive, heavy ultrawide, there is an ideal mounting arm for your specific desk and budget.
If you are looking to lift a standard workspace or gaming monitor to reduce neck strain, the Huanuo FlowLift Pro Desk Monitor Arm offers very good functionality without a high price tag. I highly recommend this monitor arm. This is definitely a must buy.
